headshot two from CroatiaArtie spent his childhood in McDonough, a suburb south of Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Emory University, studying religion and psychology, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. Afterward, he completed a Master of Divinity degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He also holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in Leadership in the Emerging Culture from George Fox Evangelical Seminary in Portland, Oregon.

After university, Artie coached college baseball for three years before co-founding a church in Midtown, Atlanta. He served there for three years before moving to the Czech Republic where he spent five years teaching, counseling, and coaching in Prague and throughout Europe. Artie has over ten years experience counseling, coaching, and speaking during which time he has worked with over twenty-five nationalities.

Artie is the author of a book entitled Sacred Flow: Discovering Life in God’s Rhythm that is currently being edited for publication. The book integrates peak-experience psychology and Christian spirituality exploring what it means to live in the flow of God’s Spirit. It is due out by the end of 2010.

Currently, Artie counsels, coaches, and speaks in various contexts about spiritual formation, performance enhancement, leadership and culture. Artie also works as a pastor with Grace Church in Fayetteville, Georgia. He serves on the teaching team and facilitates avenues that help Grace Church organically connect with contemporary culture.

Artie is married with a daughter and two sons. He really enjoys time with family, reading, writing, travel, music, film, and sport.
