About Artie

Artie spent his childhood in McDonough, Georgia, a suburb south of Atlanta. After graduating high school in McDonough, he attended Emory University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. Afterward, he completed a Master of Divinity degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He also holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in Leadership in the Emerging Culture from George Fox University in Portland, Oregon.

After university, Artie coached college baseball for three years before co-founding a church in Midtown, Atlanta. He served there for three years before moving to the Czech Republic where he spent five years teaching, counseling, and soul coaching in Prague and throughout Europe. Artie has over fifteen years of experience in counseling, coaching, and speaking during which time he has worked with people from more than twenty-five countries.

Artie is the author of the newly released book Sacred Flow: Discovering Life in the Divine Current. The book integrates peak-experience psychology with Christian spirituality exploring what it means to live in the flow of God's Spirit. Currently, Artie works as a Service Innovations Consultant with Chick-fil-A, Inc. His primary role is to facilitate and develop hospitality training in support of Chick-fil-A's 65,000+ team members and corporate staff. Also, Artie coaches and speaks in various contexts about spiritual formation, performance enhancement, hospitality, leadership, and cultural engagement.

Artie is married with a daughter and two sons. He really enjoys time with family, reading, writing, travel, music, film, and sports.
